A lovely sunny day but very cold. The ools in the dunes were forzone solid and with the wind chill we were looking at temps of around minus 8!

Still, once on the water it was fine and I didn't feel at all cold. I didn't wear gloves and even my hands were warm. A kitesurfer did join me and had trouble untangling his lines as his hands were so cold so I helped him out. He then got too cold and only stayed on the water for a short time.

I stayed out for a while, blasting back and forth on my wave kit and managed a top speed of 31.3 knots. Not great, but not bad either considering the kit I was on and the fact that I wasn't really trying.

A nice day in the estuary with Ivor on top form. Got to try out my new mast boom and sail for the first time too.
